Nexus envisions becoming the largest specialty MGA in Asia; The region continues to be a key driver in its growth strategy

Nexus Group (“Nexus” or “The Company”), one of the world’s leading independent specialty Managing General Agents (“MGAs”), unveils its vision to become the largest specialty MGA in Asia.

Nexus will be sending its top Asian management team to the 16th Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (“SIRC”) from 29th October to 1st November 2019 to demonstrate its commitment to Asia and Singapore – a region that has and will continue to be its key growth driver.

Anthony Egerton, CEO of Nexus Asia, is optimistic about Nexus’ developments and shared his vision of the company’s expansion in Asia. “We have an ambitious goal of becoming the largest speciality MGA in Asia and achieving US$50 million in gross written premiums by the end of 2021. I am confident of saying that we are at the halfway mark of meeting these targets and am excited by the prospects here in Asia”, he said.

The theme of this year’s SIRC is “Winds of Change”, which addresses market challenges such as climate change, industry disruption and the impact of digitalisation.

“The theme gives a prescient glimpse into the future of insurance in Asia. The concept of MGAs is definitely not new – especially internationally and as the markets in Asia evolve to become more developed – we will be ready to ride the winds of change as it happens”, Anthony Egerton commented.

To meet with Anthony Egerton and his team at SIRC, look for the Nexus table at the Lloyd’s Coffee House.
